For over 30 years, Perkins Center for the Arts has been offering an eight-week summer arts camp packed with discovery, collaboration and exploration, and this year is no different!
Our Summer Arts and Eco Camp embraces STEAM Education by equally focusing on the arts and environmental education to facilitate creative expression of environmental scientific learning through visual, performing, literary and environmental arts. During the four varied, two- week sessions of camp, campers will learn how to take the ideas generated through exploring the theme, Natural Inspirations, and transform it into a painting, a play, a song or a sculpture. Working with professional teaching artists, campers engage imagination, invention, creativity, collaborative teamwork and more.
To enhance the arts and environmental education experience, campers will have the opportunity to visit museums and environmental centers during Field Trip Days and proudly showcase their projects and performances for parents and family at Final Fridays. Through these features, Perkins Center is able to provide a fun, nurturing ground for budding artists and enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of the natural world that encircles them.

Be a HERO to a deserving child from Burlington and Camden Counties this summer.
For over 30 years we have been able to offer a summer camp program that provides children, from the surrounding communities of Burlington and Camden counties, with an opportunity to be creative in a fun and engaging way!
A core element of the program throughout its history has been the camper scholarship program. One of the largest funding sources for camp scholarship program has changed funding priorities and is no longer supporting the scholarship program. Perkins Center for the Arts is committed to continue the scholarship program and has been seeking new funding opportunities, but we need support from the community in order to keep this important element of the camp experience. Donate Today.
The scholarship program is supported by the generosity of corporate donors and individuals from throughout our community. Every child should be given the opportunity to express themselves through all forms of art. Will you be a donor that springs a child’s Natural Inspiration to life?
$75 will provide drinks, snacks and lunch for 4 campers each day for 1 session (2-weeks) of Summer Arts and Eco Camp.
$325 will provide 1 camper with a half scholarship to attend 1 Session (2-weeks) of Summer Arts and Eco Camp.
$650 will provide 1 camper with a scholarship to attend 1 Session (2-weeks) of Summer Arts and Eco Camp
Be a HERO to a child by Sponsoring-a-Camper! Perkins Center for the Arts will acknowledge your generosity and support of the community in the following ways:
• Recognition in our Fall Catalog and on our website on the Individual Contributors Page!
• Acknowledgement of your generosity in our Camp Program, which is distributed to all audience members at our Final Friday.
• Exhibition & Performance at the end of each camp session.
• Additionally, you will have an opportunity to meet the camper you have sponsored.
Your donation is greatly appreciated, and is fully tax deductible.
For more information, and to Sponsor-a-Camper, please contact Kate Popelak Belden at: 856-235-6488, ext. 314, email@example.com
On the first day of camp, all campers will meet on the front lawn at 9:00 am. Signs will be posted with the names of the children assigned to each group. Please walk your child to one of the two groups to meet his/her counselor.
Drop off & Pick up Procedures
After the first day, we will have a drive through and drop-off procedure in place if you choose to use it. Drop-off begins at 8:45am on the front lawn. Counselors will sign campers into camp, but campers must be signed out by parent/guardian with their counselor during pick-up each day. Pick-up will be at 4:00pm and campers will be in there designated groups on the front lawn.
NOTE: The Perkins Center driveway is one way. You must enter Perkins Center on Camden Ave and exit out onto Kings Highway. The parking lot may be busy, so please be careful. We ask that you please park in the parking lot behind the building or on Camden Ave.
