Perkins Center’s Faculty & Friends Present Favorites Past & Present – A Musical Medley for Flutes, Piccolo and Piano Perkins Center’s Conservatory of Music faculty musicians Beverly Pugh-Corry and Frank James Staneck, accompanied by Nicholas Mastripolito, will treat the audience to a medley of classical, contemporary and jazz selections from Vivaldi, Scott Joplin and more.  Original works by Frank James Staneck will also be featured in the program. Perkins Center for the Arts’ Faculty and Friends House Band  Presents The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll – A Musical Evolution Join us as we celebrate the history of rock ‘n’ roll music as part of the annual Collingswood, NJ, Green Festival.  This concert will feature the sounds of rock music’s evolution from the earliest Blues-driven tunes of the mid 1950’s to the Grunge era of the early 1990’s.  Also highlighting songs that characterize the British Invasion, Psychedelic, 70’s Arena, Punk and New Wave periods. Their repertoire of tunes from the 1910 to the 1940’s, New Orleans jazz & Dixieland, classic Blues, R&B and Western and retro Swing is augmented by original tunes and catchy 4 part vocal harmony. Members include Billy Nemec (guitar/vocals), Chris Pistorino (upright bass,vocals), David Langlois (washboard percussion/vocals), Sam Hoyt (trumpet/vocals) and Tom Abbott (saxophone). Jane Rothfield and Allan Carr-Appalachian and Scottish Roots Music Husband/wife duo, Jane Rothfield (fiddle, banjo, vocals) and Allan Carr (guitar,vocals) have been playing their unique blend of traditional and original Celtic and Appalachian style music for over 30 years.  Allan is from Aberdeen, Scotland, and grew up surrounded by the rich traditional music of the Northeast of Scotland. He is one of the finest singers from that tradition.
