Heritage Preservation Days

Community members are welcome to bring in family heirlooms that relate to foodways and cultural food traditions such as, aged photographs, negatives, heirloom cooking instruments, handwritten recipes, handcrafted pottery, back-dated news articles, traditional herbal remedies, heritage farming and gardening tools, passed-down cook books, ancestral holiday linens and artwork.

The annual exhibition features work by staff, faculty and members of Perkins Center for the Arts. It is a diverse exhibition that includes art in a variety of mediums; including ceramic, photography, watercolor, pastel, gouache, oil, acrylic, crayon, pen, pencil, fiber and digital art.
