This annual event at Perkins Center is part of an international movement to help fight hunger in our community while enabling individuals of limited financial means to experience the arts.
Since 2011, Perkins Center for the Arts has been holding the Empty Bowls fundraiser to simultaneously support the Center’s scholarship programs as well as local nutritional outreach programs. Perkins Empty Bowls 2019 has selected the Oaklyn Food Pantry (Camden County) and the LCMM Food Pantry (Burlington & County) to receive funds. Representatives from both pantries will be onsite at the event and share information about their services.
Purchase one or more artist-created and donated, handmade bowls and enjoy a delicious, simple meal donated by one of our caring, community restaurant partners. A bowl and the meal are provided in exchange for a minimum donation of $15.00. All proceeds from the day are divided between the chosen food pantries and the Scholarship Fund at Perkins Center for the Arts.
