David Graeber

Pioneer of Perkins Glass Programming, 35-Year Glass Veteran, and Executive Producer of “Paul J. Stankard: Flower and Flame”

A Dynamic Instructor

David Graeber is a renowned glass artist whose work is deeply rooted in a lifelong love of nature and the New Jersey landscape. His creations are more than just objects; they are reflections of personal stories, celebrations of life's milestones, and tributes to the natural world's extraordinary beauty and diversity.

A true Jerseyman, David's artistic journey has been shaped by a wealth of influences. From the architectural intricacies explored under the guidance of George Vail to the vibrant world of painting discovered through the mentorship of William "Bill" Marlin, Ed.D., David has cultivated a diverse artistic foundation.

While deeply appreciative of the support and inspiration provided by the late Paul Stankard, David's artistic vision is distinct and independent. Stankard’s encouragement was instrumental in his decision to pursue his own path in 2009, a testament to David's courage and determination as an artist.

The collaboration with the late Ed Poore, a master cutter, has added another dimension to David’s work, elevating his paperweights to new heights. With the continued support of galleries like Leo Kaplan, Ltd. and L. H. Selman Ltd., David's artistry continues to flourish.

New Jersey, with its expansive Pinelands, serves as an endless source of inspiration for David. This living laboratory fuels his creativity and informs the organic beauty found in his glass creations.
