David Gamber's lifelong passion for clay, ignited by childhood play, has blossomed into a distinguished career as a ceramic artist and educator with a strong presence in Southern New Jersey.

A Dynamic Instructor

Like many clay artists his journey started in the sand boxes and mud puddles of his youth, playing with dirt. He has continued to cultivate that sense of play throughout out his education and development as an Artist. He began playing with clay as a teenager, embracing it as his life's work soon after his first ceramics course at Goshen College. Goshen was followed by a year at the University of Louisville and an MFA from Tyler School of Art of Temple University. Currently, David is teaching at various locations in Southern New Jersey and exhibiting work both regionally and nationally. He has been the ceramics teacher at Moorestown Friends School for the past 10 years and has been teaching at Perkins Center for the Arts for over 15 years.
