Renowned ceramic artist Evelyn Taylor Bonner brings a wealth of experience and passion to her craft. Holding a BFA in Studio Arts/Ceramics from Syracuse University, where she studied under renowned artist David MacDonald, Bonner's artistic journey is deeply rooted in ceramic exploration. Her career path is a unique blend of artistry and business acumen. Following her academic pursuits, she immersed herself in the world of production ceramics at Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, honing her technical skills. A subsequent MS in Communications from Syracuse University equipped her with a strategic mindset that would later prove invaluable.
Bonner's professional trajectory led her to influential roles in the arts administration sector, including positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. It was during this time, in 2006, that she reignited her passion for ceramics, establishing a thriving artistic enterprise. Since 2015, Bonner has actively showcased and sold her work at a variety of renowned craft shows, galleries, and gift shops throughout the region.
Currently, Bonner shares her expertise as a dedicated teaching artist at Perkins Center for the Arts. Her weekly ceramics classes cater to artists of all levels, while her outreach programs through the Folklife & Traditional Arts at Home initiative, supported by the New Jersey Council on the Arts, demonstrate her commitment to fostering artistic communities. Bonner's ability to seamlessly blend creativity, education, and entrepreneurship makes her a truly exceptional artist and educato
