The Blue Vipers

The Blue Vipers

The Blue Vipers The Blue Vipers of Brooklyn are an early jazz, swing, and blues band. Their repertoire of tunes from the 1910 to the 1940’s, New Orleans jazz & Dixieland, classic Blues, R&B and Western and retro Swing is augmented by original tunes and catchy 4 part vocal harmony. Members include Billy Nemec (guitar/vocals), Chris Pistorino (upright bass, vocals), David Langlois (washboard percussion/vocals), Sam Hoyt (trumpet/vocals) and Tom Abbott (saxophone). Educated by accomplished musicians and formal music programs, the members have played venues and festivals from New Orleans to NYC. “There are old souls in the young bodies of the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn. They play the best kind of roots music, one that explores the various sounds that turned on the youth in pre-and-post WWII America. Unifying it all is the band’s dazzling jazz chops.” Robert Sutton, Jazzcorner “I Love them. They set a great tone for any event.”
