CamdenpopRock on Haddon Ave.

Perkins Center’s Lawn Chair Concert Series returns to Collingswood with a live outdoor concert featuring CPR: Music Invincible. Established in 2015, CamdenpopRock will present a wondrously eclectic fusion of modern, classical and international music and performance art. CamdenpopRock will perform on the corner of Haddon and Woodlawn Avenues, next to Grooveground Coffeebar (647 Haddon Ave).

This free performance is part of Perkins Center for the Arts’ annual Lawn Chair Concert Series with a partnership from the Borough of Collingswood and presented by the Horizon Foundation for New Jersey with additional support from Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation and PNC Arts Alive.

This concert is part of 2nd Saturday in Collingswood which invites guests to plan a night on the town to experience the unique arts, music, shopping and dining Collingswood is known for. As always, Second Saturdays are free and there are local artists and musicians on each block. Just arrive & enjoy the culture. Information on 2nd Saturday for artists, musicians and visitors is here.

Vinyl Comes Alive on the Evergreen Lawn

Perkins Center for Arts house band, Vinyl Comes Alive, will perform a concert featuring many of the greatest songs from the Motown era, as well as artists and bands that popularized the Stax and Atlantic Records sound.  Songs by artists such as Wilson Picket, Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, Charles Bradley and many others will be presented for your listening pleasure.

Favorites Past & Present – A Musical Medley for Flutes, Piccolo and Piano

Perkins Center’s Conservatory of Music faculty musicians Beverly Pugh-Corry and Frank James Staneck, accompanied by Nicholas Mastripolito, will treat the audience to a medley of classical, contemporary and jazz selections from Vivaldi, Scott Joplin and more.  Original works by Frank James Staneck will also be featured in the program.

The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll – A Musical Evolution

Join us as we celebrate the history of rock ‘n’ roll music as part of the annual Collingswood, NJ, Green Festival.  This concert will feature the sounds of rock music’s evolution from the earliest Blues-driven tunes of the mid 1950’s to the Grunge era of the early 1990’s.  Also highlighting songs that characterize the British Invasion, Psychedelic, 70’s Arena, Punk and New Wave periods.

A prolific songwriter and composer, Billy Hector has more than 14 albums to his credit in electric and acoustic blues and Americana rock.  With over 35 years of performing under his belt, Billy is recognized as one of the hottest guitarists and songwriters playing on the original circuit and serves up what more than one reviewer has called, “One of the best shows you’ll ever see.”
Billy is a two-time invitee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s American Music Master’s series, a winner of the Asbury Park Music Awards “Best Guitarist,” “Best Blues Band,” and “Living Legend” awards, and a two time winner of East Coast Rocker’s “Best Guitarist” award.

Gunpowder Lane performs American roots music including folk, country, blues and bluegrass. Todd Breck, John Frink, Rob Tietze and guest singer and guitarist Phil Epstein look forward to captivating us with their music.

Todd Breck is an active singer and songwriter who plays guitar, mandolin, harmonica and flute. John Frink, who began playing his guitar at the age of ten, writes music and adds a glorious baritone voice to his musical presentations. Rob Tietze, who discovered his love of music at the age of seven, has made a name for himself both as a player and a composer of music for guitars. And finally, Phil Epstein, who jumped onto the acoustic guitar train back in 1970 and added the harmonica to his repertoire.
