This month our Lunch & Learn features a local artist who became successful as an illustrator working to capture important moments in the courtroom.

Bill Ternay was raised on a farm in Pittsgrove Township, NJ, where his parents also owned the local country store. A 1964 graduate of what is now the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, PA.  Bill’s first job was in the art department of KYW-TV 3 and the Mike Douglas Show, where his duties included sketching in the courts for Eyewitness News. Since leaving channel three in 1974, Bill has taught painting workshops in Provence, France and art centers in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maine. He is a former president of the Philadelphia Water Color Society, and currently teaches at the Barn Studio of Art in Millville, NJ.
